We're gonna need a bigger boat.

So the trip is officially booked!

The date is Friday, April 11th.

The cost per person is $130.

Good news and bad news is that there have been too many positive responses. Some fantastic news is that my dad is going to fly out for the trip. Can't describe how happy this makes me feel. So with that, we're left with 4 seats. I'll now be going down the list one by one to get definite confirmations on the date and cost and all that jazz. Who knows, maybe I'll swing another trip a week or two later?

Side note, happened to do some reading (or maybe a google targeted ad?) and found out that '07 was one of the worst years on record for commercial salmon. According to one article, the reason was "the chinook failed to show up." I can see how this would have a direct impact on how much salmon was caught. "Thank you Powdered Toast Man!" Also seen some things on the web that report that '08 won't be much better. Maybe as we get closer to the date, I'll have a conversation with Captain Gerry concerning targeting other fish (halibut, ling cod, etc?) to see if it might be more productive than driving all over the ocean looking for salmon.

I don't care though. I've got a fishing trip planned with my dad. Can't get much better than that.
